Welcome to the Fifteenth Annual Event of the Black Hills Dance Festival.

We're planning a fun-filled weekend schedule, with workshops featuring international and regional instructors, with workshops for couples and linedancers each hour. There are three workshop rooms and you can enjoy nightly open dancing, offering two dance floors and spotlight dancers. All this and more at the Rapid City, South Dakota "Rushmore Plaza Civic Center, Room H" (444 Mt. Rushmore Rd.)
Jo Thompson - One of the most experienced Swing and Line dance instructors in Colorado. Jo Thompson
Troy Reed - One of the most experienced Westcoast Swing dance instructors in Colorado. In 1995, Troy Reed started his dance career in West Coast swing, American Cha-Cha, NightClub Two-step, Country Two Step, Waltz and Line-dancing. He started teaching dance with Jean Smith in 1997 as Dance Smith Dance Troy of Colorado. As an opening act for Reba McEntire, he performed a West Caost swing routine with Jean Smith. He has won many prestigious awards and is considered to be one of West Coast swings top allstar competitors and is a nationally recognized DJ. Troy Reed
